I've got another piece to share! This one combines two of my favorite themes: musicians and nature. I recently saw a gorgeous photo of the Smoky Mountains at sunset and had to take inspiration from the rolling hills for this animal duo. I can imagine them playing some Gypsy Jazz in the evening.
I have always been a fan of the Gypsy Jazz style and am amazed by this Marc O'Connor performance in a trio with guitarist Frank Vignola.
Narwhal's Banjo Aquarelle - Illustration by Andrea Lauren
I wanted to continue with the sea theme a bit more after finishing the frogs painting and a narwhal and banjo piece came together this time. This is one of my new favorites! I have a couple more to finish up in the series so check back soon for more.

Feathers and Arrows - Pattern Collection
A few of my Feathers and Arrows patterns, now in a collection at Spoonflower. I've ordered some arrows scattered on Navy for a dress. I'm looking forward to getting back into sewing in the summer when I have a little more time.
About
Hi and thanks for stopping by! I'm Andrea, a designer with a passion for living a creative life -- a traveler, dreamer, and artist. Born outside London, my early years were spent playing music, laughing, doodling, and being creative; I loved to play! Patterns were ever present in my life, I remember going on a school trip to the V&A Museum in London and being mesmerized by the William Morris exhibit. Even my school uniform had a Liberty print blouse!
After my family journeyed to the States in search of a little more sunshine, I caught the traveling bug. It has been a wonderful adventure to see this vast country and live in some of its greatest cities. With my ever-present set of pens and paints, I've carried my creative work with me up to now. Thanks so much for stopping by my portfolio and taking a look at my hand-drawn pattern designs. If you have a collaborative project in mind or would just like to say hi, please get in touch.
