Fabric Collection: Sweet Treats by Andrea Lauren

I always enjoy creating summer patterns.  This year I made a collection of "Sweet Treats" illustrations of ice creams and doughnuts for my Spoonflower shop.  These prints and additional colorways can be seen here.

Andrea Lauren Process 3/12

This month is flying by and I am getting lots of quality hours in my studio with various processes.  I like to have lots of different projects on my plate to keep me on my toes.

1. Reductive Silk Screen print in my Animals series.  These are 5 color silkscreen prints.
2.  New designs in my Spoonflower shop. Making a quilt with my swatches.
3.  Pineapple screenprint in three colors.  Mixing up some mint ink.
4.  Printing my Bear's Bourree lino.  Prints drying.

Into my sketchbook part one.

I am looking forward to starting a new series featuring some glimpses into my sketchbook and works in progress.  In an attempt to be more organized and attached to my creative process, this record keeping of sorts, in one place, is something I haven't always maintained during projects or random inspirations.  I have been busy developing and refining a new set of fabric patterns of which these are a few of the close to finalized sketches.   I've been particularly inspired by some of these photographs of the beautiful northern landscapes.
