Bird Block Print Stamps by Andrea Lauren

At the same time I was carving the Safari Animals and designing the silkscreen prints, I knew I wanted to make a bird collection as well.  It is always very rewarding to sketch, carve, print, and then work with the block print to design the silkscreen art print.  Here are the birds in their carved blocks and printed on French Paper Co. stock with water-based block printing inks.

    1. Heidi, thanks ever so much! It was a lot of fun to sketch these and see them printed after the carving process.

  3. These are stunning stamps! I have always wanted to try my hand at carving stamps... After seeing yours, I don't know if I should be inspired or just not even try because I know mine won't be as fantastic as yours!! I just discovered your blog and I'm really loving all of your work... I love the geometric style you bring to the animals, it's really unique and fresh but adds even more visual appeal :)

    1. Many thanks, Gabbi! You should definitely get your carving tools out and give it a go! There are many pieces which do not turn out exactly as I plan or have in mind, but they are always fun to create and print. Thanks for your kind words! Cheers
